Growing up, I’ve at all times gravitated in direction of Hershey’s Cookies & Cream Bars or Snickers…  nothing else.  But the number of candies handed out throughout Halloween at all times made me suppose, “Oh my GOSH this is so good, why don’t I ever eat these??”  I’d suppose that about Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Twizzlers, and Dots…  however most of all, I’d suppose that about Crunch Bars.  They’re so easy, however so good.  They’re chocolatey, crunchy, crispy.  They fulfill your candy tooth with each chunk.  So since Halloween is arising, I believed I’d strive my hand at making them myself.  Especially after studying the ingredient checklist off the store-bought bars.

Milk Chocolate (Sugar, Chocolate, Cocoa Butter, Nonfat Milk, Milkfat, Lactose, Soy Lecithin, Natural Flavor, Crisped Rice (Rice Flour, Sugar, Barley Malt, Salt).

One good factor is that they eliminated preservatives and synthetic substances (resembling PGPR and vanillin) from their ingredient checklist, but it surely’s nonetheless mainly pure sugar  🙁

To keep away from these less-than-ideal substances, I made this tremendous simple scrumptious recipe for ya!

  1. In a big microwave-safe bowl, add the darkish chocolate.  Microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring between each, till fully melted.  Let cool for 10 minutes.

  2. Stir within the crispy rice cereal, then spoon the combination into 2 trays of these chocolate sweet bar molds (makes 6 bars whole).
