Unlike typical ice cream recipes, which name for heavy cream, white sugar, and eggs, I made a couple of ingredient swaps to make this Blood Orange Ice Cream one thing you possibly can be ok with eating.

Can you imagine 1 cup of this Blood Orange Ice Cream has roughly ⅓ fewer energy and 5x the protein of typical ice cream recipes?  I just lately discovered a recipe with 520 energy plus 30g of fats and 48g of sugar per serving.

I’ll let these nutrition details sink in slightly.  Oh gosh, NO thanks.  I’ll take a cup (or two) of my more healthy Blood Orange Ice Cream as a substitute.

That’s insane!  Who wants the unhealthy model when this one is very easy to make?  I’m ALL for indulgence, however not silly indulgence.  Why devour extra white sugar when there are more healthy replacements to face in and saved the day?
